complexas.
solar. Um exemplo disso {\'e} a recente miss{\~a}o espacial do
sat{\'e}lite (r{\'{\i}}gido-flex{\'{\i}}vel) Juno ao planeta
J{\'u}piter. Nesta tese estuda-se a aplica{\c{c}}{\~a}o de
t{\'e}cnicas de controle robusta no projeto de SCA de
sat{\'e}lites r{\'{\i}}gido com movimentos flex{\'{\i}}veis e
do sat{\'e}lite, afetando assim o desempenho do SCA e provocando
a perda de precis{\~a}o e/ou at{\'e} mesmo a
desestabiliza{\c{c}}{\~a}o do sat{\'e}lite.
real{\'{\i}}stico do sat{\'e}lite
r{\'{\i}}gido-flex{\'{\i}}vel com \emph{sloshing} esta
tamb{\'e}m prejudicam o adequado projeto do SCA.
(Linear Matrix Inequality LMI), objetivando incrementar a robustez
dos SCA. No modelamento do sat{\'e}lite considera-se as
perturba{\c{c}}{\~o}es devido ao movimento flex{\'{\i}}vel e
dos l{\'{\i}}quidos e as incertezas devido {\`a}
varia{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos par{\^a}metros. Inicialmente, faz-se o
modelamento de um sat{\'e}lite r{\'{\i}}gidoflex{\'{\i}}vel
sat{\'e}lite r{\'{\i}}gido-flex{\'{\i}}vel, utilizando o
As simula{\c{c}}{\~o}es mostraram,
sat{\'e}lite r{\'{\i}}gido-flex{\'{\i}}vel n{\~a}o linear,
este resultado estabelece uma nova caracter{\'{\i}}stica do
m{\'e}todo H\$\infty\$. ABSTRACT: Space industry demand for
more sophisticated and reliable Attitude Control Systems (ACS)
grows as space missions become more complex. An ACS needs good
performance and robustness in satellite-related missions in
formation around the Earth to space missions that aim to
investigate planets outside our solar system. An example of this
is the recent space mission of the (rigid-flexible) satellite Juno
to the planet Jupiter. In this thesis we study the application of
robust control techniques in the design of ACS of rigid satellites
with flexible movements and of liquid in their interior (slosh).
On the other hand, the great difficulty of obtaining a realistic
mathematical model of the rigid-flexible satellite with sloshing
is related to the lack of exact knowledge of the satellite
parameters, such as mass, damping and stiffness, since these vary
with time, and therefore, introduce uncertainties that also
undermine the appropriate SCA project. Faced with such challenges,
robust control techniques are being studied, such as
H\$\infty\$ and H\$\infty\$ with pole allocation via linear
matrix inequalities (LMI), aiming to increase the robustness of
ACS. In the satellite modeling, the perturbations due to the
flexible movement, and the liquids and the uncertainties due to
the variation of the parameters are considered. Initially, a model
of a rigid-flexible satellite with sloshing is presented. For this
model, a ACS is projected by the H\$\infty\$ method and it is
verified that this controller performs well since it controls and
stabilizes the attitude of the satellite. It then performs a
comparative investigation of the performance of the ACS projected
designed for a rigid-flexible satellite model, using the
H\$\infty\$ method without and with uncertainty; And
H\$\infty\$ with pole allocation via LMI, without and with
uncertainty. For both cases, the uncertainty is inserted in the
dynamics of the mass matrix, damping and stiffness. For the
allocation of poles, four LMI regions were studied, resulting in
the choice of the region that presented the best performance. It
was verified that the uncertainty has greater influence on the
mass matrix through a detailed study of the level of torque used
by the ACS. The simulations showed that the most robust ACS was
obtained using the H\$\infty\$ method with pole allocation via
LMI compared to SCA designed by the H\$\infty\$ method.
Finally, it was verified that the H\$\infty\$ controller
designed with high level of uncertainty, was able to control the
nonlinear rigid-flexible satellite model, this result establishes
a new characteristic of the H\$\infty\$ method.",
